Sr. Research Specialist
As part of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) in the College of Engineering, the Research Specialist plans, conducts, demonstrates, and documents research projects and activities with federal agencies, industry, functioning as a technical expert in the area of Li-ion battery characterization and modeling, energy storage and electrified transportation; Serve as a technical expert in electrochemical modeling with application to prediction of li-ion battery voltage, heat generation, thermal characterization and degradation mechanisms, including related problems of state and parameter estimation in li-ion cells and packs; leads and conducts research on modeling Li-ion batteries, and integration of such models in different software platforms (Matlab, Star, CCM+, GTAutolion) develops ex
