Install electrical service equipment, solar PV systems, wiring and devices for residential and light commercial PV systems.
Facilitate successful completion of projects from start to finish while ensuring it meets or exceeds safety requirements as well as local jurisdiction requests and industry best practices/standards.
Troubleshoot non-working systems and collaborate with product manufacturers for warranty replacement of defective equipment.
Maintain high quality organization of tools, vehicles and materials needed for job responsibilities.
Ensure a safe, efficient, and quality product with adherence to project specifications and ensure a quality installation experience for the customer.
Train, guide, and mentor new Solar Techs to work safely while keeping quality in mind and growing their knowledge base.
Approve daily timecards and coach good attendance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Stand, kneel, bend, and move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas.
Requires repetitive movement, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Typical construction site environment that may expose candidate to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
Requires working outdoors in variable weather circumstances with unpredictable conditions.
Work around hazardous equipment.
Requires exposure to high places at steep angles while wearing safety harnesses and other required PPE.
Periodic travel throughout the region for days at a time.

2-3 years prior solar installation experience
Ability to read & interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
NABCEP installation professional certification or equivalent experience
Ability to understand and follow directions and convey those directions to others.

Valid driver’s license.
