Job Description:
The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department (MAE) at Syracuse University is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the field of Materials/Advanced Manufacturing with an effective start in Fall 2024.
Prospective candidates should possess a proven track record in Materials and/or Advanced Manufacturing, with an ability to establish a robust research program capable of securing competitive external research funding. The department is particularly interested in individuals engaged in both fundamental and applied research within the expansive domain of materials and advanced manufacturing. Potential research areas encompass, but are not confined to, microelectronic materials, energy materials, materials design and engineering for diverse applications such as energy storage and generation, mechanics of energy materials, additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, and cutting-edge modeling and simulation techniques.
