Yale University seeks to recruit a faculty member at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level to Yale’s interdisciplinary Energy Sciences Institute, which unites members of multiple departments. The Institute is one of several science and engineering initiatives located at Yale’s West Campus, a 137-acre campus whose acquisition in 2007 has provided the University with unparalleled opportunities to expand its activities in cutting-edge research areas. We seek a creative scholar in the areas of energy conversion, energy storage, and/or energy sustainability who will have a primary appointment in the Department of Applied Physics. The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group, be an interactive member of the Applied Physics Department, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2024.
