Job Description
Overview
Milestone Solar Consultants is seeking applicants for a Senior Solar professional to participate in the installation of residential and commercial solar systems. In this position, this person will provide support and oversight to all members of the installation team, and electrical technicians as required, to install, configure and commission varied solar arrays/systems.
It will be the responsibility of every employee to help ensure safe work practices for the entire installation team.
Responsibilities
• Creating or confirming Bill of Materials list for varied installation jobs
• Design and confirm layout and assembly of solar modules / arrays and varied mounting hardware and electrical layout. Confirm designs meets NEC and solar industry Best Practices.
• Confirm and/or design mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Assist electricians with electrical layout of solar array/system (AC and DC) meet NEC and local AHJ requirements
• Assure complete documentation of completed projects
• Additional duties required as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of roof work and/or general construction experience required. Solar system installation experience, electrical contractor experience, roofer experience or related experience strongly preferred. Professional certifications such as Master Electrician and/or NABCEP certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools used in the construction industry is required.
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
- A detailed understanding of DC and AC circuits common in solar installations is required.
- Advanced computer skills including familiarity MS Windows and Microsoft Office programs is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance will be required
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment required.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license.
- May be required to successfully pass pre-employment and/or periodic criminal, driving and drug screens.
Total compensation offer will be based on documented training and certifications, work experience and recent salary history.
