The School of Engineering at the University of Kansas invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research position in advanced energy storage systems, with special emphasis on the intersections of energy storage with cyber-physical systems, scientific machine learning, digital twins, smart grid, power electronics, and other emerging directions.

This hiring is part of KU's School of Engineering (SoE) initiative to promote diverse interdisciplinary collaborations across multiple departments. The selected postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work with faculty members from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. They are expected to explore and push the frontiers of future energy storage systems, while driving related research activities at KU SoE.

The preferred start date is August 15, 2023, with the exact date negotiable. This is a 1-year appointment with possible reappointment based on performance and funding availability. Discretionary funds and relocation expenses up to specific amounts will be provided.
