Tufts University Department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a faculty member at the associate level (tenured) in the area of sustainability, with an emphasis on modeling, computation, or data analytics, as well as one or more of the department's "pillar areas" (Materials & Manufacturing, Mechanics, Engineering Design, Thermal Fluid Systems, Electronics & Controls and Human Factors).  Exceptional senior candidates may be considered.  The candidate should be capable of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses related to current curricula and new research directions. Research thrusts may focus on different aspects of sustainability, for example, energy generation, energy storage, or carbon capture.  Additional information about the department can be found at
