The Department of Electrical Engineering seeks a dynamic new tenured or tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Professor to begin in January 2023. Applicants must possess an earned Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or a closely-related field, and have at least nine years of effective, relevant experience. To be eligible for appointment at the rank of professor, a faculty member must have a record of excellent performance in teaching and research and good performance in institutional and/or professional service. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute vigorously to the research and educational missions of the Department and College. The Department is committed to enhancing the diversity of its faculty and student populations and particularly seeks applicants who can help increase the representation of women and other under-represented groups.
Research areas of particular interest for this position include wireless and mobile communications/networks, internet of things (IoT), and security.
