We are seeking a dynamic, industrious, and detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of starting a successful enterprise from the bottom up to lead our new Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Services department. This department will oversee the initial consumer studies, service design and marketing, all the way through to the installation and ongoing maintenance process for services such as solar panel & battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle supply equipment, microgrids, thermostat and device programs, and innovative rate design.

The ideal candidate must have exceptional communications skills, including the demonstrated ability to deal directly with the public, government entities, special interest groups, businesses, existing and potential member consumers, and other employees. This position also requires understanding and the ability to negotiate and interpret contracts, agreements, and administrative policies to properly apply provisions. Applicants must be capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of work to meet set deadlines. The ability to multi-task, think critically, and problem solve is imperative. Most importantly this position requires someone who is committed to providing quality services to our members while maintaining a continuing commitment to superior service. 

A bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10 years supervisory experience is required. Utility industry experience is preferred.

This position is categorized as Remote-Hybrid, which is a work arrangement that allows an employee to perform work and duties associated with this position at both our Greenville Office and their home. The assigned hours will be Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm with occasional additional required hours. This position will be required to report to the office for meetings, trainings, and work assignments as necessary. During the initial department set up, the job will be primarily onsite.
