Principal Scientific Engineering Associate (Laser Technologies Group)

Berkeley Lab's Energy Storage & Distributed Resources (ESDR) Division has an opening for a Principal Scientific Engineering Associate to join the Laser Technologies Group!
In this role, you will design and perform experiments in a variety of projects relating to laser ablation-based spectroscopy, including Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Optical Emission Spectroscopy (LA-ICP-OES), Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Laser Ablation Molecular Isotopic Spectrometry (LAMIS). This role will provide nearly all the technical support and apply engineering and scientific concepts for maintaining and further developing analytical techniques. The research will require hands-on experience with nanosecond/femtosecond laser-material interactions, optical emission spectroscopy and mass spectrometry.
