The information systems analyst/integration is responsible for making the information systems and technologies within the organization coordinate in such a way as to allow the organization to realize the intended benefit of those systems. By its very nature, the position is all about creative solutions to the difficult problem of integrating various applications and processes into a cohesive whole that truly is greater than the sum of its parts.

AMR System Management
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Must possess a thorough understanding of the principles of database management. Must have a thorough understanding of mapping systems, coordinate systems, and must be familiar with the state of the art in mapping and geographical information systems. Must possess a complete understanding of computer programming practices. Must have at least four years experience with, and proficiency in, an industry standard computer programming language like C++, or C#. May not substitute Visual Basic programming experience. Must be proficient in the use of Structured Query Language. Must have a working knowledge of both AutoCAD and Autolisp. Must be proficient in the use of electrical engineering analysis software package (ex. Milsoft’s Windmil).
Four years experience in project management required. At least three years experience in managing an Automatic Meter Reading system. This experience must include all aspects of project management, from pre-planning, to meter hardware, to substation equipment installation and management, to software operation and integration with CIS billing system. This integration experience must also include day-to-day management of the AMR system including, but not limited to the updating and synchronization of the system with billing and with GIS and mapping as it relates to the system model used for outage analysis. Must be proficient in the integration and programming of disparate relational database management systems to accomplish adequate modeling of metering in the field.
Must have at least four years experience working with communications systems and computer networking systems. Communications systems to include radio, satellite, fiber, telephone, and DSL. Computer networking systems to include both wired and wireless systems.
