The Recruiter will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the organization’s human resources functions with a specific focus on Recruitment. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Human Resources, this position works closely with programs and departments to build an efficient, strategic, and effective staffing structures for the entire organization. Perform other HR Generalist duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement strategies to identify, recruit, and retain highly talented staff
Manage recruitment processes to identify top talent and maintain strong diversity
Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
Screens resumes, administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, serves as an expert for recruiting candidates and delivers employment offers
Develops advertising programs to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
Manages internal recruiting process
Develops and maintains excellent relationships with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals
Communicates important employment information during the offer process
Manages candidate activity in the applicant tracking system
Collect, compile and analyze data on demographics and hiring activity for use in designing and implementing recruitment plans and developing affirmative action and diversity plans
Develop and implement efficient and effective workflow processes for HR services (including diversity recruitment strategies, on-boarding, internal transfers, departures, etc.)
In partnership with other HR team members, design and implement a coherent staff orientation program that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and mission
Serve as a proactive thought partner and leader on HR policies and practices
Provide ongoing recommendations for operational and strategic review/revision of current employee programs, policies and feedback based on exit interviews, orientations and other means available
Assist with other HR functions as needed including, but not limited to performance management, training, and employee relations
Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department
Essential Skills and Experience
Three years of experience in full life cycle recruiting and HR.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and ADP strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills; and ability to engage with staff at all levels and geographies of the organization.
Well-organized with an ability to multi-task.
Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently across multiple contexts

Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Professional HR Credential (ex. PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
Physical Requirements While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is frequently required to use finger dexterity as well as sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. Also, may need to remain seated or standing for long periods of time, have the ability to perform repetitive motions, grasp objects, including a writing instrument, reach, walk, communicate verbally and hear well enough to detect nuances and receive detailed information. The employee is frequently required to push or pull objects, bend, squat, stand, or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision for data preparation or analysis, and expansive reading.
Working Conditions The work conditions described here is representative of those an employee encounters while performing this job. Depending on work location, the incumbent will typically work indoors in a heated and air-conditioned office, with a mixture of natural, incandescent and fluorescent light with low to moderate noise levels or be subject to working conditions conducive to a home office. When travel is expected the incumbent will be exposed to outside environmental conditions during those times.
