Location: Morrisville, NY Category: Full-time Faculty Posted On: Thu Dec 20 2018 Job Description:
SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for a full time, tenure track faculty position in Renewable Energy. This position focuses on teaching at the undergraduate level, specifically in courses involving heat pumps, geothermal energy, basic electrical theory, and system controls. There will be limited capacity for research, but program expansion and curriculum development are expected from the successful candidate. Primary duties are to develop cutting-edge, applied learning courses in heat pumps, energy system controls, and/or energy storage as well as teach existing courses within the renewable energy curriculum (Basic Electrical Theory and Renewable Energy Resources). Additional duties include student advising, organizing and maintaining renewable energy facilities, and participation in campus committees.
Ph.D. preferred, but a Master's degree in appropriate discipline may be acceptable. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in the following areas:
Capacity for interdisciplinary and collaborative teaching
Practical experience outside of academia
Teaching at the collegiate level
Curriculum development experience
