Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative is seeking candidates to fill the position of Wind Energy Operations and Maintenance Technician.
An eligible candidate must be a certified climber and have GE turbine O&M experience with Lead Technician experience desired. Candidate must be able to perform all necessary operations and maintenance activities for the Cooperative’s two wind energy production facilities, each consisting of seven GE 1.5 mw SLE ESS wind turbines. All candidates must possess strong interpersonal communications, math and PC skills, with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft office programs, GE Software experience a plus. Successful candidate will need to work well in a team environment and be willing to cross-train into electrical distribution applications. The Wind Turbine Technician will report to the Manager of Renewable Energy Services.
The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Candidate must have completed an accredited college or technical program in Wind Energy and Turbine Technology. A minimum of two to four years of experience is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment drug test is required. Candidate must reside in close proximity to Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative’s headquarters in Estherville, Iowa.
