The PV STEP Intern | Intramurals | Rec. Sports | Facility Operations is responsible for the daily operations of the building including customer service, equipment checkout, fitness center operations, basketball court administration, and building cleaning.
Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of operations student staff members.
Creating and maintaining monthly staff schedules using online scheduling software to ensure entire facility has coverage and assume responsibility for filling in when necessary. Assisting in leading of staff meetings and training's for all operations staff.
Assisting in inputting maintenance work orders and communicating with University facilities regarding status of projects. Assisting in minor fitness equipment maintenance and coordinates equipment maintenance repair with contracted technician.
Insuring equipment inventory is up-to-date in Recreational Management Software and assists Assistant Director and Coordinator in surplus and replenishing daily use equipment as needed. Conducting daily and weekly facility walk-throughs and inspections.
Attending bi-weekly Recreational Sports staff meetings. Completing monthly reports on facility usage. Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student during the Spring 2019 semester
Enrolled in at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the summer or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming Fall semester
Undergraduate students: Completed 60 hours by the conclusion of Spring 2019
Minimum of 2.5 GPA and be in good academic standing
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Commit to the entire internship experience (10 weeks, 30 hours a week)
