Oversees all functions related to the training needs within a department or line of business on a national level. Formulates policy and procedures governing the training team to ensure consistent coordination and delivery of training solutions, and strategically manages local, national, and global Training projects and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Formally supervises the work and performance of training team staff/managers responsible for creating, administering, and delivering a training curriculum within a department. Identifies mentoring opportunities for team members to enhance their training skill sets.
Identifies, analyzes and recommends to senior management enhancements, additions, and changes to training platform and/or processes on a national level.
Develops, establishes and implements national strategic objectives and goals for department and staff.
Prepares department training budget and presents to department leadership.
Reviews and analyzes training curriculums nationally and makes recommendations for changes and/or enhancements to senior leadership. Delegates approved changes to training team to implement.
Develops and enhances new hire onboarding programs. Coordinates with other training leaders to ensure consistency of Onboarding Company wide.
Utilizes advanced knowledge of eLearning development software to make recommendations for course delivery.
Partners with other training leaders to collaborate on best practices for training initiatives, curriculums, certifications, and delivery. Champion's national and line of business change initiatives.

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Four-year degree in a course of study relevant to the department function, Learning and Development or related field. A minimum of nine years' experience in training development and delivery to include previous supervisory duties required.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Advanced level knowledge of computer software and hardware, (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products) and MS SharePoint. Advanced knowledge design, development and delivery of training programs. Must work well under pressure with proactive approach including managing multiple deadlines and changing project scope/direction.
