Position Overview: Provide classroom and laboratory instruction in topics of biology, chemistry and biotechnology to a diverse student population enrolled in associate degree and certificate programs. Faculty typically teach 15 credit hours per semester and participate in college service, professional development, and student advisement activities.
<p><strong>Qualifications: </strong>A Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a closely-related discipline required. Related expertise or experience, including curriculum design, alignment and assessment, in fields related to biotechnology a must. Teaching experience required; higher education experience preferred. A strong commitment to student-centered, practical education within the classroom and laboratory with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning required. Applicants should be proven team-players with an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development. Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
