Manage the customer agreement review process for a variety of projects, with a primary focus on “EPC” agreements and associated documents for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage, and high voltage transmission)
Assist in the review, editing, negotiation, and finalization of customer agreements
Work closely with lawyers and business leaders to assess business and legal terms and contractual risk allocation
Coordinate cross-functional review of agreements by other internal departments (tax, risk, etc.)
Employ best practices for quality assurance and version control
Review and track confidentiality agreements and related documents
Assist in the editing and negotiation of agreements with trade partners (subcontractors, suppliers, designers, and other service providers)
Update and manage standard contract forms and templates
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Solid understanding of the contract process (alternatively, advanced degree and experience with construction project transactions including owner agreements and subcontracts)
Excellent computers skills (Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word and Excel)
Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong teamwork orientation
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment with quickly changing priorities

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with complex contracts
Paralegal or other relevant experience in a construction law practice, or in a non-construction corporate contracts department or role, or experience as a construction project manager involved in reviewing and administering customer contracts and preparing trade partner contracts

Mortenson is seeking a Contracts Manager to assist the legal department and operating groups in reviewing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts and other agreements with its customers and trade partners.
