The Regional Director of Environment, Health and Safety evaluates the goals and priorities for each BSWH facility in the region along with opportunities in those communities served to improve the safety of the staff, patients, physicians, and visitors from an Environment of Care (EC), Life Safety (LS), and Emergency Management (EM) perspective. The Regional Director of Environment of Care will develop and implement EC, LS, and EM process improvements as well as standardize best practices for the hospitals and clinics within the region. The Regional Director of Environment of Care will also be responsible for working with local authorities to strengthen the BSWH EC, LS, and EM programs.
In addition, Regional Director of Environment of Care will also have the responsibility to recommend and monitor policies and procedures which comply with federal, state, local, and The Joint Commission (TJC) regulations as well as other applicable regulatory agencies.
The ideal Regional Director of Environment of Care candidate has three years' experience and has the ability to think strategically and provide leadership to create a world-class Environment of Care and Emergency Management program; has thorough working knowledge of The Joint Commission Environment of Care (EC), Life Safety (LS), and Emergency Management (EM) standards as well as NFPA, OSHA, Texas DSHS, and local regulations that apply to healthcare organizations; ability to manage, develop and lead employees effectively; ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to create an effective ECEM program with the proficiency in basic technology and computer skills including Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Certifications - Healthcare Environmental Manager (HEM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
