POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Belcher Lab, to work on cutting-edge battery and energy storage research as part of an interdisciplinary and highly collaborative team of scientists and engineers from a wide array of disciplines. Will be responsible for enhancing the Belcher lab's capabilities in energy storage technology; and overseeing synthesis, device assembly, and troubleshooting. Other responsibilities will include communicating results to the scientific community through publications and presentations and supervising undergraduate students and laboratory technicians. Projects are expected to include bio-mediated synthesis of battery materials and work on novel device architectures.
REQUIRED: a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, material science and engineering, chemical engineering, biological engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field; experience with electrochemistry, synthesis, and device assembly; strong interpersonal and excellent oral and written communication skills; and ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. The ability to contribute in a multidisciplinary team setting, prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, and execute detailed technical protocols meticulously are mandatory.
