We seek an Optometrist who combines exceptional patient communication, work ethic, high energy and a great personality to join our team of dedicated eye care professionals. Our practice is committed to providing the most compassionate and most technologically advanced care available in our region. Opening for a full time OD to work in a combined MD/OD practice. With several locations in central NY’s beautiful Mohawk Valley (Utica-Rome), the practice has a reputation for exceptional eye care with the most advanced treatment modalities. The new doctor would work in one or two offices at most and would not be expected to travel to all locations.
Optometrists are comfortable managing glaucoma, routine eye emergencies, pediatrics, and progressive medical eye management. Depending on the new doctor’s comfort level, they will function autonomously but always have MD backup immediately available and will work with MDs in a supportive environment. We enjoy an excellent pleasant working environment with a tremendous enthusiastic staff. THE PRACTICE IS CLOSED ON WEEKENDS AND OUR OPTOMETRISTS DO NOT TAKE WEEKEND CALLS.
Currently a 3 MD, 2 OD practice, our volume of happy patients is constantly growing. Our new optometrist will be able to quickly see the number of patients he/she is comfortable with. The position provides a highly competitive base salary of $130-150k with tremendous bonus potential to exceed $225-250K. Full benefits including health insurance, benefits, 401K, CME budget and vacation time.
