Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Maintains, repairs, and replaces heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, including, related electrical motors (open and hermetic), and their respective controls, including calibration of equipment, gauges, and controls; handling of refrigerate; and refrigerate charging of systems. 2. Inspects worksite for planned work's impact on associated trades and professionals. 3. Maintains, repairs, and replaces hot water, condenser, chilled water systems, including pumps, control valves, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and related controls. 4. Maintains, repairs and replaces air-moving heating, cooling, humidification, and filtering equipment and systems such as fans, heat pumps, fan coil units, rooftop package air conditioning unit, computer room cooling units, solar panels, electronic and pneumatic modulating thermostats, humidistats, duct-stats, and pressure and volume controls. 5. Maintains, repairs and replace fume hood components. 6. Maintains, repairs, and replaces low-and high pressure boilers used for heating and cooling of air and their combustion and control systems. 7. Maintains, repairs, and replaces equipment related to heating and cooling, such as air compressors, air dryers, and associated controls. 8. Fabricates tubing or piping for pneumatic control systems, which may involve soldering, brazing, etc. 9. Operate energy management or building automation systems that control heating and cooling systems. 10. Reads and records gauge reading on various types of equipment. 11. Performs minor installation or modification work on heating and cooling systems and controls, including planning the work; supplies, and equipment required; and coordinating with other trades. 12. Perform related duties as assigned.
