The purpose of this position is to generate ASHRAE Level II energy audit reports. This position provides internal review, training, and quality control over a team of energy auditors and compiles their energy modeling results into reports for our clients. This position is open to applicants in any state; no need to relocate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reviewing energy models and energy and water savings calculations from a team of energy auditors and analysts.
Generating ASHRAE Level II Energy Audit Reports using notes and photographs from auditors and calculation results from analysts.
Assist energy analysts in scope development and calculation methodology.
Ensure that scopes of work meet program and customer requirements.
Creating calculation and report templates and other processes to streamline report generation.
Be in-house expert on energy models and energy savings calculations.
The above items entail approximately 80% of the duties and responsibilities of this position.
The remaining 20% is occasional generation of energy models and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.
Proficiency with TREAT Energy Modeling & Assessment Software.
Conducted 20+ ASHRAE Level II energy audits of multifamily or commercial properties.
Extensive knowledge of energy efficiency measure types and calculation methodologies; preference given to applicants with experience in multiple climate zones.
Basic knowledge and understanding of energy and building codes.
Knowledge of emerging efficiency or generation technologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Excel.
Understanding of how quality of work and timely completion of tasks or activities impact success of project, team and/or organization.
A demonstrable track record of excellent time management skills combined with the capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to effectively present information.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Professional Engineer (PE), Building Performance Institute Multifamily Building Analyst (BPI MFBA) and Association of Energy Engineers Certified Energy Manager (AEE CEM) certifications are preferred.
