Analyze, synthesize and design of complex control electronics and hardware systems which are incorporated into new product lines for industrial inverters and converters. Responsible for the development of Industrial Control Hardware products, including microprocessor, digital, analog, communications and FPGA design elements.
Responsible for participating in conceptual development of a product line architecture and partitioning, enhancing the prior art of product performance and cost effectiveness. Participate and lead team in competitive analysis and voicing of the customer exercises to determine new product requirements. Interface with customers in equipment conception, testing and start-up. Identify and acquire the needed resources for accomplishment of project goals. Participate in and lead team in concept generation, prototype validation testing and product qualification testing with respect to schedule and problem resolution for assigned programs. Assist manufacturing in the resolution of complex test and manufacturing issues for products as well as field service in the resolution of complex field application issues in respect to product performance and system design. Complete design and implementation documentation as specified by the common development process, and associated with the functional process requirements. Keep a notebook of documented notes that thoroughly explains conceptual thoughts, conditions, restrictions, analysis, synthesis, and test results that serve as justification for circuit and system design. Analyze and divide a large-sized project into tasks, schedule these tasks, and be the technical leader in the cost-effective implementation of the tasking, assuming responsibility and accountability for the timely completion of the tasks. Responsible for the activities of any exempt and non-exempt personnel, including training, performance appraisals and promotion recommendations. Serve as the recognized technical expert in a specific area of product design and promote new approaches trough the development organization.
