About the role

We coordinate all of our activities from sustainable & impact investing, philanthropy, environmental and human rights policies, to our community investment and managing our own environmental footprint.
The In-House Environmental Management Team In-house Environmental Management (IHEM) is an organization within the Group Corporate Services division that is responsible for managing the impact on the environment from its in-house operations and supply chain. Guided by the firm's ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System, the IHEM team constantly strive to reduce our own emissions, our waste production, energy and paper consumption and water usage.
We are globally certified according to the international environmental management standard ISO 14001. The management system covers the entire scope of our products, services and in-house operations which may give rise to an environmental impact. It is externally audited annually and re-certified every three years. These comprehensive audits verify that appropriate policies and processes are in place to manage environmental issues, and that they are executed in day-to-day practice.
Key responsibilities include:
Help administer the ISO14001 certified Environmental Management System (EMS) for Singapore, including data capture and reporting.
Execute and support global or regional IHEM strategies and policies locally to reduce emissions, waste production, energy and paper consumption and water usage.
Assist with the transition from the existing ISO14001:2004 standard to the impending ISO14001:2015 standard
Prepare for, and facilitate, internal and external EMS audits: ensuring that the required documentation, processes, actions, legal and other compliance requirements of the ISO14001 Standard have been met prior to the annual auditing process.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Group Corporate Services, Group Technology, Supply Chain Management, Community Affairs and Facilities Management teams.
Coordinate with external services providers: e.g.: external auditors, waste management providers, external training organisations and other service providers.
Report to the local and regional environmental managers and assist where required.
Increase local staff environmental awareness by organising environmental campaigns, events, newsletters and/or implementing other environmental or sustainability education and design tools.

Skills and experience
Be able to work for up to 22 hours per week (e.g. two to three days per week, in any combination)
Be fluent in spoken and written English
Be familiar with advanced MS office applications, particularly in the use of excel for data analysis
Be undertaking a Bachelor or Master degree at university, preferably with a sustainability focus in the built environment
