The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in the Tagliatela College of Engineering (TCoE) at the University of New Haven invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in mechanical engineering. The expected starting date is August 20, 2018.
Primary responsibilities: Teaching undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses including mechanical engineering laboratory courses, and multidisciplinary engineering foundation courses. Ability to teach thermo-fluid systems and renewable energy related courses, and experimental or hands-on experience will be considered favorably.
Required qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline; the ability to teach engineering courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work as a contributing and collegial member of a team; and authorization to work in the U.S. Demonstrated teaching experience is strongly preferred; industry experience will be considered favorably.
