Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director, Center for Advanced Energy Systems for The Center for Advanced Energy Systems. The Associate Director, Center for Advanced Energy Systems oversees continuous improvement of the assessment process including adopting of new technologies and procedures. This individual must possess a sound background in engineering principles in the development and documentation of products and services in industrial energy efficiency; and the leadership skills to direct CAES staff members and oversee the operation of approximately 30 centers located at universities around the country.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Serves in place of the Center Director in all capacities when needed.
Interacts on a frequent basis with the US DOE and align their priorities with program objectives.
Undertakes site visits to centers around the country for quality assurance and to promote program excellence.
Reviews reports and other deliverables from the centers and subcontractors.
Oversees continuous improvement of the assessment process including adopting of new technologies and procedures.
Maintains schedules through interaction with the CAES Director, center staff, IAC's and program officials; and ongoing program requirements and specifications for the various aspects of the IAC.
Oversees data management and program analytics; and makes technical and programmatic presentations as needed by CAES or DOE.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
A minimum of five years of experience working on technical projects
Demonstrated expertise in industrial Energy Efficiency (e.g., DOE qualified specialist in one or more systems)
Five or more years of experience
